Survey Readiness

CMS and Joint Commission surveys are challenging for any organization. Unannounced inspections can disrupt a work day and potentially rattle a workplace that is not compliant.

Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and Nursing Facilities (NF) are required to comply with 42 CFR Part 483, Subpart B, to receive Medicare/Medicaid payments. State surveyors will complete at least a Life Safety Code (LSC) survey and a standard survey to certify a facility (CMS), which includes an evaluation of your Emergency Management Program.

Joint Commission accreditation can be earned by many types of health care organizations, including hospitals, doctor’s offices, nursing homes, office-based surgery centers, behavioral health treatment facilities, and providers of home care services (Joint Commission).
