Chemical Exposure Monitoring

We utilize accepted industrial hygiene monitoring methods to evaluate employee exposure to harmful chemical agents. During the monitoring process, we assess work practices, physical environment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use. All of these measurements and observations are a part of the chemical hazard analysis.

A time-weighted average (TWA) is taken over the duration of 8-hours as well as a short-term exposure limit (STEL) as needed.

Our on-site observations and laboratory results are used to provide appropriate recommendations. These may include engineering controls, work practice methods, administrative, or PPE.

Examples of monitoring requests include:

  • Acetic Acid
  • Alcohols (ethyl, isopropyl, methyl)
  • Bioaerosols (mold, allergens, etc.)
  • Formaldehyde (formalin)
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Nitrous Oxide
  • Waste Anesthetic Gas and Vapors
  • Xylene
